The great Palm Jumeirah is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and is possessed by the Dubai government. The Palm Jumeirah is created by Nakheel, this is a company which is owned by the Dubai Government and the design and development is done by the architects of HHPC. It is an artificial group of islands which was formed by using the land recuperation. Palm Jumeirah is one of the islands from the three planned islands which are known as Palm Islands (Palm Jumeirah, Palm Deira and Palm Jebel Ali). Amongst all of them Palm Jumeirah is the smallest island. The shape of the Palm Jumeirah is like a palm tree having a trunk and a crown that is having 17 fronds which is surrounded by the curved island. The size of the island is 5 by 5 kilometers and the total area of this place is bigger than 800 football pitches. The crown shape structure is linked with the help of a bridge with the mainland and the curve shaped island is linked to the top of the palm with the help of a subsea tunnel.

Villas and Hotels in Palm Jumeirah Island:

The Palm Jumeirah contains a good range of residential apartments and villas which is available for rent as well. The construction of these apartments was started in June 2001 and the possession of the first residential villa was given in the year 2006. This island contains residential as well as commercial properties. The great 5 star aqua themed hotel Atlantis is also located at the Palm. The island is created with the help of sand and rocks by pouring them deep into the water and by applying the technology “rain-bowing”. To create this massive island almost 40,000 workers were involved from the South Asia. In the year 2006 there was almost 4,000 luxury villas and apartments. After this, the island became so famous for the residential as well as for the tourism utilities. It also contains a wide variety of beaches, marinas, restaurants, water park
and a good range of trade outlets.

The Palm Jumeirah is declared as the world’s largest man made island. The total area is very large, it is having a trunk which is 2 kilometer long and the crown which is having 17 fronds is surrounded by the semi curved structure. The Palm Jumeirah is also visible from the space. To enjoy the beautiful view of Palm Jumeirah there is a Monorail station which is located at the base of the palm from where the monorail takes you to the top and you can enjoy the astonishing view from the elevated train. Many people also opt the road route by taking a taxi which also covers the complete island but the view from the Monorail is quite beautiful as it travels few meters above from the ground level.
