How To Increase Customer Engagement On Social Media

Social media is rapidly becoming a fundamental marketing strategy for businesses around the globe. If social media platforms are utilized in the right way, they can help any business improve their brand awareness and boost sales to increase revenue.

The internet, however, is the heart and soul of all social media platform users. It is the key ingredient that fuels the world of social media enthusiasts. That is why promoting your brand through social media marketing is crucial as we live in a digital age. Here are a few ways you can improve your customer engagement on social media.

#1. Post Content That is Engage-Worthy 

To boost your social media engagement levels, you need to focus on creating content that is worth engaging with. You can create a poll on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or Twitter, etc. You may also post a picture or video that will drive an emotional response from your audience. Try posting a product photo or video that makes people feel happy, beautiful, positive, inspired, or motivated. You can post something that would encourage people to tag their friends and people from their social circle. Avoid posting things about sensitive issues that will attract negative responses.

#2. Encourage People to Comment, Like, & Share 

Always make sure to add a call to action (CTA) in each post you create. A call to action could be asking people to like your post, comment on it, or sharing it with others, etc. Doing this will help you improve your brand awareness. The audience is most likely to act on your CTA if you request a certain action that requests them to respond. 

#3. Reply to Comments 

You must respond to your customers’ comments and feedback because it shows that you care about them. Comment or query in response to a post is actually an opportunity to engage with your customer. It shouldn’t matter that the audience is leaving positive or negative comments, responding to their feedback in a positive light is the best way to go. You must appreciate people with positive comments as they are engaging with your brand. As for the negative ones, try to provide a solution to resolve their issue and thank them for sharing their problems.

#4. Create and Manage Facebook Group 

Creating and managing a Facebook group of your brand is another excellent way to engage customers through social media platforms. Groups are far more engaging than official business pages because they allow people to communicate with each other. Being active in this community will allow your business to improve its presence and outlook. It is better to moderate all posts and communication to avoid spam posts and inappropriate content.

#5. Use Contest and Giveaways

Running various types of contests and enticing customers with free giveaways is one of the speediest ways to improve customer engagement. You can create a contest that asks people to perform an action such as sharing a post, visiting a landing page, following your social media account, and so on. Using certain tools (such as Rafflecopter) allows you to increase your social media engagement levels and following as requirements of your contests. It is important to publicly announce winners of your contests and acknowledge their efforts with a prize that is expensed by your brand.

The Importance of Social Media Engagement

Keeping customers constantly engaged with your brand is easier said than done. Simply posting fresh content regularly is not enough. You have to get people’s attention, be relevant, trendy, and timely too. To connect with your audience, you must get to know them first. Use your internet connection to do some research on your competitors and read the latest trends.
